Vacation Bible School. August 2-5, 8:30-noon for kids SK to grade 6. Please note that T-shirts are not provided for this camp. Also email addresses are very helpful. Finally we've been getting questions about the program. Cokesbury is an American company that runs this program and each year they choose a different theme; this year it's a beach theme called "Surf Shack." Cokesbury has a very good reputation and their programs are used by many many churches both in Canada and the US.

Our daily schedule begins at 8:30am with music and dance and is followed by four activities (story telling, science, crafts, and games.) A snack is also provided.

Men's Breakfast Saturday June 11. William (Bill) Dale accompanied by his daughter Leslie showed a video entitled "A Life Well Loved, a personal story of a family's battle with Alzheimer's disease. Be sure to read the write up on our Men's Breakfast page; a very moving experience.

Sunday June 12, following the service, East Plains held its annual congregational picnic. Games, good food and fellowship was enjoyed by all. As part of the service we celebrated the 91st anniversary of the UCC so Happy Birthday UCC.

25th Annual "Case for Kids Walk" On June 5, Rev. Alison and Linda Kennedy from our church participated in the "Case for Kids Walk" and raised over $1,000 for Wesley Urban Ministries in Hamilton. All money raised supports children living in poverty. Well done ladies.
